Anchoring the Direction

In his speech, Wang Jingshu introduced that Xinxiang, known as the "Hometown of Muye" with profound cultural heritage, is also a "Pearl of Northern Henan" with a booming industrial sector. Xinxiang ETDZ is a national-level economic and technological development zone, a national green park, and the core area of Xinxiang National Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone. After more than 20 years of development, it has initially formed a "2+1" leading industrial system consisting of textile and garment, equipment manufacturing, and modern logistics services, and accumulated four major advantages: first, the unique advantage of being a "transportation and logistics hub"; second, the solid foundation as a "manufacturing hinterland of Xinxiang"; third, the precise and efficient "comprehensive service capability"; fourth, the sincere and internationalized business environment.

In his speech, Jiang Junhua stated that Genertec Hi-Tech Materials Group has formed an integrated development pattern with the China Textile Academy of Sciences as the technological support, and five major business sectors including fiber new materials, chemical fiber equipment manufacturing and engineering services, textile new materials, textile chemical industry and biotechnology, and standard testing and technical services as the main business entities, with coordinated development of scientific research and industry. In the field of industrial textiles, the company has made in-depth layout around the industrial chain relying on national-level innovation platforms such as the National Key Laboratory of Bio-based Fiber Materials and the National Engineering Research Center for Fiber-based Composite Materials. In the future, Genertec Hi-Tech Materials Group will earnestly shoulder the mission and responsibility of a central enterprise to help the textile industry transform and upgrade towards high-end, intelligent and green development.

Li Lingshen noted in his speech that with the continuous implementation of national macro policies such as promoting consumption and stabilizing growth, the textile industry is showing strong development resilience, achieving effective improvement in quality and reasonable growth in quantity despite severe pressure. To promote the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of the spunlace industry, Li Lingshen put forward four key suggestions: consolidate the foundation of development with technological innovation and forge core competitiveness; activate growth drivers with digital and intelligent transformation and reshape new industrial advantages; fulfill social responsibilities with green and low-carbon development and open up new space for development; build a healthy ecosystem with rational competition and gather industry cohesion. Li Lingshen expressed his hope that the Spunlace Non-woven Fabric Branch will continue to play the role of a bridge and link, act as a practitioner of the Party Central Committee's strategic deployment, a builder of the modern industrial system, and a forerunner of industry reform and transformation, leading the entire industry towards higher-quality development.
Clarifying the Path

Zhang Yun delivered the branch work report, in-depth analyzing the current development trend of the spunlace non-woven fabric industry and clarifying the key work for the next step. At present, the spunlace non-woven fabric industry is in a critical development stage of "the resonance of technological innovation and green transformation, and the interweaving of domestic upgrading and international game", with the development trend manifested in the following aspects: strong growth drivers and differentiated capacity structure; double growth in revenue and profits but still low profitability; prominent intensive characteristics and rapid rise of emerging regions; stable global competitiveness but persistent challenges in international game; prominent structural growth and continuous emergence of new tracks. In 2024, the Spunlace Non-woven Fabric Branch promoted industrial development by focusing on the core needs of the industry and taking five major initiatives: "strengthening fundamentals, empowering development, establishing standards, gathering wisdom, and improving efficiency". In 2025, the Branch will focus on four directions: "promoting innovation, enhancing green development, improving discourse power, and expanding international markets", focusing on new tracks to promote collaborative innovation; building a low-carbon chain to enhance sustainable resilience; strengthening data capabilities to improve industry discourse power; expanding international circles to serve overseas layout. Based on previous research and practice, the Branch put forward four suggestions: reduce low-price involution and improve profitability through refined management; increase R&D investment and break development bottlenecks with digital and intelligent empowerment; promote green transformation and seize market opportunities with sustainable development; strengthen talent development and support industrial upgrading with high-quality teams.

At the conference, Li Guimei delivered a keynote report entitled "2025: Challenges and Future of China's Non-woven Fabric Industry", discussing the current situation, challenges and future development path of China's non-woven fabric industry. She introduced relevant work to promote the green development of the industry, such as research on the green and sustainable development of non-woven fabrics, certification of "biodegradable" and "flushable" products, evaluation of five-star environmental factories, release of "2025 Insight into the Trends of China's Wet Wipe & Soft Towel Industry", and green development standards. Li Guimei stated that the global demand for non-woven fabrics is recovering and growing, the industry's profitability is under continuous pressure, export growth against the trend highlights industrial resilience, and the industry concentration has significantly increased. Meanwhile, the industry also faces challenges such as structural imbalance between supply and demand, involutionary competition in the industry, tariff shocks, and international competition. In the future, the industry should adhere to long-termism, comply with the global industrial development trend, make layout in key fields, promote the improvement of industrial basic capabilities, accelerate green transformation, optimize industrial structure, cultivate key enterprises with international competitiveness, and promote the high-end development of the industry. At the same time, enterprises need to strengthen industry self-discipline to create a good environment for industrial development.

Zhao Mingxia delivered a keynote report entitled "Foreign Trade Situation of China's Textile Industry and Countermeasure Suggestions", introducing the characteristics of global textile and apparel trade and supply chain layout, the current situation of China's textile industry's foreign trade, influencing factors and trends of foreign trade development, and putting forward development directions. China's textile and apparel exports will face pressure in 2025 but show good resilience, being in a period of fluctuating adjustment; the export focus is shifting to the upper and middle reaches of the industrial chain; developed country markets still occupy an important position; and foreign investment is advancing steadily. The main factors affecting the foreign trade development of China's textile industry include: increased downward risks of the world economy inhibiting demand growth; the overall tariff level tending to rise; trade frictions tending to increase; and more diversified procurement and production layout of international supply chains. For future development, Zhao Mingxia suggested: continuously promote the high-quality development of the industry; deepen the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry's foreign trade; and promote international layout through internal and external coordination.
